SEEING WITH MACRO LENSES
Macro subjects can be found anywhere, and Palm Springs is rich with fascinating opportunities. Canon’s Macro Lenses Photo Walk will explore the grounds in an around the Festival area of Old Palm Springs in search of macro subjects. Beyond typical macro subjects like plants and flowers, we’ll look for insects, rocks, unusually beautiful leaves and tree trunks indigenous to this California desert area and perhaps urban archeology too!. We can find patterns in ordinary objects when working in close proximity with our super sharp macro lenses. We will be thinking small and making great images on this photo walk.
THE TELEPHOTO EXPLORATION WALK
When we think about travel photography, most of the time we shoot our images with focal lengths from about 24mm to 100mm. Canon’s Telephoto Exploration Walk is designed for you to use your creativity by forcing you to use your telephoto or telephoto zoom lens to isolate your subject from the background or compress a whole city block into one frame. Join us on this photo walk and see travel & stock photography from a whole new perspective.
CREATIVE EXPLORATIONS IN THE ANCIENT PALM CANYONS
We will head to the vaunted Palm Canyons to photograph North America’s oldest living, unspoiled palm oasis. This opportunity to photograph in this unique desert environment is unparalleled. We will head out with a variety of lenses with only one subject in mind –Discovering a landscape unchanged for centuries. Untouched by human intervention and kept that way by the Agua Client Band Of Cahuilla Indians upon whose land this famous palm oasis sits. We’ll bring a great assortment of Canon cameras and super sharp Canon lenses for this expedition. “Creative Explorations in the Ancient Palm Canyons will put your imagination to work. It may seem daunting, but we can choose our lens from wide angle to telephoto. This photo walk will force you to think outside the box to create great images in an exceptional landscape.
TRAVEL DETAILS PHOTO WALK
Palm Springs is an amazing travel photography destination. Canon’s Travel Details Photo Walk will explore the area surrounding the festival venues in search of travel photography imagery from the lock on a door to a row of hats in a store window to the fabulous boutique hotel, Korakia Pensione, to perspectives on famous public landmark buildings. This photo walk will consider the detail itself, creative composition, color and lighting techniques to make images with impact.
